Your routines stay with you.
This policy describes I Did It (记好), the iPhone and Apple Watch app, and this support website.
Data in the app
The app stores routine names, notes, optional photos and familiar voice clips (in versions that support them), schedules, preferences, and completion history on your devices. The developer does not operate an app-data server or receive these records automatically. The app has no account system, advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDK.
Your paired iPhone and Watch exchange app data using Apple's WatchConnectivity service. System device backups may include app data under your device settings. These are separate from a developer-run cloud service.
Permissions you control
- Microphone and speech: Voice Log starts only when you choose it. Recognition is requested on-device; this recognition audio is not saved. Leaving the screen stops it. You review recognized text before saving. Keyboard dictation and Siri are separate Apple features controlled by system settings.
- Familiar voice clips (1.1 and later): You may separately record up to 30 seconds on iPhone, preview it, and explicitly save it to a routine. Obtain the speaker's permission first. Saved clips stay on your devices, sync to your paired Watch, and are included in full backups. Playback starts only when requested. You can replace or remove a clip in the routine editor; saving the removal syncs it to the Watch. Previously exported backups and recovery copies must be managed separately.
- Settings protection (1.1 and later): The system handles device-owner authentication. The app receives a success or failure result, not your passcode or biometric data. This protects settings from accidental changes; it does not hide history or restrict everyday recording.
- Photos and camera: The photo you choose or take is saved with the routine and may be synced to your paired Watch or included in an exported backup.
- Apple Health: The optional HealthKit connection is explained in Settings → Apple Health. On iOS 26 or later with available Health data, the app reads only the medication names you authorize. Selected names are stored in routine notes when you save. It does not write completion records to Health, modify Health medications or reminders, or use Health data for advertising or analytics. You can turn off access in Health → profile → Apps under Privacy → I Did It. Previously saved names remain until you remove them from routine notes.
- Notifications and speech output: Local notifications can display routine names. Read Aloud speaks routine details through the system audio output. People nearby may see or hear them.
You can change permissions in system settings and continue using manual entry where applicable.
Backups, retention, and deletion
Records remain until you delete them. Exported backups include routines, photos, saved voice clips where available, and history and are not encrypted by the app. You choose where to save or share them. Restoring a backup replaces app data and keeps a local recovery backup first.
Erase All Data removes the app's routines and records, then syncs the deletion to the paired Watch when connected. Exported files, independently saved recovery files, and system device backups require separate management in their storage locations.
Reports you choose to share
In versions with reports, you select routines and dates and preview the text before opening the system share sheet. Reports contain the selected routine names, statuses, times, and whether the record was marked as entered by the user or a family helper. Reports exclude photos, audio, and notes. The app does not automatically send reports to family members or the developer.
Routine and reminder files you share
In version 1.2.3, Family Routines & AirDrop uses files you explicitly choose to send through AirDrop or the system share sheet. A file contains the sender name, selected routine title and notes or reminder text, schedule, time zone, dates and message identifier. It excludes completion history, photos and voice clips. Notes may contain medication names previously imported from Health; review before sharing. The recipient can retain the file or add the routine after reviewing it. The developer does not receive a copy. The app does not provide cloud family connections, remote monitoring or delivery receipts in this release.
Family messages are stored in a separate local inbox. Manage them in Family Help; clearing personal routines does not automatically erase that inbox. Independently sent or received files must be removed from their own storage locations. Sharing services you select have their own data practices.
